Iris ID has announced its new IrisAccess iCAM 7000S Series readers, which delivers a variety of upgrades to the popular iris recognition system. The new iCAM iris readers deliver faster performance, increased features, applications and greater integration flexibility. They provide onboard memory of 100,000 records and improved flexibility and interaction with a color touchscreen available.

iCAM 7000S Units Feature

iCAM 7000S units feature the robust countermeasure package experts say already sets the industry standard, according to Iris ID, and all models are fully backward-compatible with previous iCAM series model deployments.

“We are committed to continuing to set the industry standard for iris recognition technology,” said Iris ID President and CEO Charles Koo, noting that the IrisAccess 7000S Series offers features unavailable from any other iris system.

“A larger targeting mirror with auto-focus lens assures rapid, high quality iris acquisition for enrollment and recognition,” he said. “An advanced, targeting aid, TiltAssist, is part of an intuitive and interactive interface that also includes customisable voice prompts and visual feedback. The TiltAssist feature provides auto alignment of the iris reader with the user’s eyes further enhancing the authentication and non-contact experience.”

iCAM 7101S And iCAM 7111-U1 Readers

The iCAM 7000S series initially consists of two models, the iCAM 7101S and iCAM 7111-U1, with multiple card reader options and a pop-up on-screen pin pad. The new units extend the IrisAccess platform’s capabilities by offering expanded multifactor solutions and new embedded HID SE readers.
