Wavetrend PC Access Controller Link-IT 

Link-IT consists of a simple software and hardware package that provides access security for laptops, desktops and servers in a Windows operating system environment.  Link-IT is a software application that works in conjunction with a miniature RF (Radio Frequency) reader that plugs into the computer's serial port and an active "Authorized User" credit card-sized transmitter that is worn by the user like an ID badge.  Once Link-IT is installed, only the "Authorized User" is granted access to the system, thanks to the unique encoded number the secure card transmits to the computer and only if the user is within range (approximately 3 metres).  If the "Authorized User" is out of range of the computer the system automatically locks the computer and displays a secure screen-saver thus denying access to other parties.
