DICE Corporation has integrated AURA’s on-demand guard response service into its dispatching products, allowing monitoring centers to arrange a licensed private security response from within the DICE system. Clear Response Monitoring and Clear Watch are the first centers to activate the integration. Their dealers can offer guard response alongside alarm monitoring at sites in areas covered by AURA across the United States.
Guard response through DICE dispatch
AURA connects alarms with a network of vetted, state-licensed private security response partners. When an operator selects AURA for a site, the platform sends the closest available responder and manages the callout through its 24/7 control room. AURA reports an average response time of 18 minutes using its proximity-based dispatch model.
The integration uses DICE’s PSAP Connect broker, the dispatch engine that connects monitoring centers with more than 700 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and sends alarm dispatches directly into their computer-aided dispatch systems. DICE also provides 911 services through its sister company, IPtelX.
Adding AURA enables the same engine to automate dispatch to both public first responders and private guards. DICE monitoring centers can extend automated dispatch coverage to locations where police attendance is limited or a guard is an appropriate first response.
Alarm and video monitoring options
Video helps the operator assess what is happening, while AURA can arrange an on-site response
Clear Response Monitoring is using the integration to add guard response to traditional alarm monitoring. When an alarm requires someone at the property, an operator can dispatch a responder directly from DICE.
Clear Watch combines AURA with DICE AI video detection. DICE AI flags potential threats captured by cameras, after which a Clear Watch operator verifies the event. If a guard is needed, the operator can dispatch one without changing systems or entering the site details again. Video helps the operator assess what is happening, while AURA can arrange an on-site response.
How the AURA integration works
- The dealer enrolls a site with the monitoring center, which enters the site details into DICE.
- The customer opts in to guard response, and the dealer completes the contract.
- The site is activated for AURA, with site and contact information passed to the platform automatically.
- If an alarm or verified video event requires a guard, the operator selects AURA response within DICE.
- AURA dispatches a licensed responder. Dispatch, arrival and completion updates are added to the alarm history. Law enforcement can also be dispatched if needed.
One dispatch interface for operators
The service is intended for homes, commercial locations, construction sites and vacant properties
The integration does not require a separate dispatch console or a second screen in the monitoring center, and operators do not need to re-enter customer data. Managers can access analytics, callout histories and reports in the AURA customer platform. Sites can also be configured to send a property contact a text message with a live tracking link and a report when the job is complete.
Dealers can sell guard response as a recurring service without operating vehicles, hiring guards or managing the response themselves. The monitoring center and AURA handle dispatches, while the dealer retains its brand and remains the customer’s point of contact. The service is intended for homes, commercial locations, construction sites and vacant properties.
"Our dealers have been asking for a way to offer real guard response without building it themselves," said Glen Carter, President of Clear Response Monitoring and Clear Watch. "Through DICE, our operators go from an alarm or a verified event on camera to a licensed guard on the way, from the same screen they work every signal on. Our dealers make the sale, step away and earn recurring revenue, and their customers get someone at the door when it matters."
Availability for DICE monitoring centers
"Monitoring centers should not have to bolt on another system to add a service," said Cliff Dice, Founder and CEO, DICE Corporation. "We built AURA directly into the DICE platform so a center can turn on guard response site by site, using the data it already holds. AURA runs on the same PSAP Connect engine that already reaches more than 700 PSAPs, so one dispatch engine now serves first responders and guards alike. Clear Response and Clear Watch show it working on both alarm and AI video monitoring, and the integration is ready for any monitoring center on DICE."
The integration is available to monitoring centers using DICE dispatching products
"DICE doesn't wait for the market to change before it moves. It builds for where monitoring is heading, and that made it the natural partner for us," said Grant Williams, Chief Product Officer, AURA. "Bringing the AURA response network into DICE gives central stations a new service to offer their dealers, without adding a single new system for their operators."
"We started AURA because we believe safety is a fundamental right, not a luxury," said Warren Meyers, CEO, AURA. "Getting help to people faster means working with companies that are willing to move with their markets, and DICE is exactly that kind of company. They saw where monitoring was going and chose to lead rather than follow."
The integration is available to monitoring centers using DICE dispatching products. Each center must agree to terms with AURA, after which DICE support enables the service. AURA checks coverage for each site before activation. Dealers can add guard response through Clear Response Monitoring or Clear Watch. AURA’s service operates alongside police and other public emergency services and does not replace them.
