Tomorrow marks an important milestone for Convergint as the company observes its 25th Annual Social Responsibility Day. In celebration, Convergint will temporarily halt global operations for a day, enabling its employees to participate in community volunteer activities with full pay. This year also aligns with the company's quarter-century anniversary and extends its STEP (Secure, Train, Educate, Protect) Up for Schools initiative, introducing a newly crafted grant scheme aimed at enhancing the safety infrastructure of underserved K-12 schools.

Strengthening Local Communities
This year's event will draw together close to 11,000 employees, their families, and more than 45 industry partners from 37 countries, collectively devoting approximately 60,000 hours to various volunteer efforts. These activities, which range from aiding children and families to enhancing school safety, underscore Convergint's conviction that a safer and more secure world starts with investing in the communities it serves.
As part of the 2026 STEP Up for Schools Grant Program, Convergint, together with its technology partners, has provided 20 grants to underserved U.S. K-12 schools, catering to diverse security needs such as access control, video systems, environmental sensors, and preventative maintenance services.

Since its launch in 2018, STEP Up for Schools has benefited over 175 schools and communities through donated security enhancements, assessments, and projects led by volunteers.
While the typical project is valued at around $25,000 in donated goods and services, several flagship initiatives have significantly exceeded $250,000. To date, Convergint estimates that the STEP Up for Schools program has gifted over $7 million in products, services, and expertise globally, contributing to the creation of safer learning environments.
Underserved Schools Worldwide
Established in 2002, Convergint Social Responsibility Day is observed annually on the first Friday of June. On this day, the company ceases operations for a fully paid workday, allowing employees to engage in various service projects within their communities.
STEP Up for Schools, initiated as part of this day, focuses on enhancing security in underserved schools, providing free safety installations and assessments globally. These efforts aim to leave a meaningful impact on communities worldwide and empower employees to reach beyond their perceived limits.
