Leadership Roles and Responsibilities
In his role as CMO, Milne will steer the company’s marketing initiatives and sales development strategies
In his role as CMO, Milne will steer the company’s marketing initiatives and sales development strategies, focusing on three main objectives: reinforcing EclecticIQ's standing as a pioneer in threat intelligence, expanding its market reach through direct and partner channels, and enhancing the customer experience.
Armstrong will be responsible for all revenue-related operations, covering sales and customer success management, with the goal of ensuring seamless customer acquisition, growth, and retention processes.
Customer Success Integration
EclecticIQ’s approach of integrating customer success into its revenue operations establishes comprehensive accountability over customer outcomes, right from the initial point of contact to sustained partnership.
The synergy between Milne and Armstrong, both offering over 40 years of combined cybersecurity expertise, is expected to drive the company’s growth efficiently.
"Every growth stage requires different capabilities," noted Cody Barrow, CEO of EclecticIQ. "We've proven our technology works at the highest levels. Now we're building the go-to-market infrastructure to deliver that value consistently. Andrew and Steve bring the expertise to establish repeatable processes, clear accountability, and coordinated execution that drives scalable growth."
Strategic Alignment and Collaboration
The joint appointments of Milne and Armstrong illustrate a strategic move to synchronize marketing with revenue operations, thus avoiding common organizational barriers that can hinder growth and cause inconsistency in customer experiences.
Armstrong emphasized the importance of this synergy: "The CMO-CRO relationship is the engine of scalable growth. When marketing and revenue operate as true partners with shared accountability, it transforms how quickly you can move and how effectively you serve customers."
Milne added, "We're establishing the systems that deliver predictable pipeline while building brand authority that opens doors in competitive deals. Steve and I are building this in lockstep so there's no gap between what marketing promises and what customers experience."
Expansion and Market Penetration
With these leadership appointments, EclecticIQ is primed for advancement in multiple areas, including geographic expansion, enterprise market penetration, and ongoing product innovation.
A significant focus is on developing a strong channel partner ecosystem to maximize reach and enable clients to access advanced threat intelligence features through familiar security alliances.
"We're at an inflection point," said Barrow. "The foundation is solid. The technology is proven. Now we're building the team to scale it."
