The Adrian Public Schools Board of Education has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing school safety by renewing its contract with ZeroEyes, a company specializing in AI-based gun detection and intelligent situational awareness.
This decision, made during the board’s April 13 meeting, allows the district to continue utilizing advanced technology to monitor existing security cameras for firearms, a practice initiated in 2023.
AI-Driven Security Enhancements
ZeroEyes’ innovative software integrates seamlessly with digital security cameras, offering an additional layer of protection. On detecting a weapon, the system quickly dispatches images to the ZeroEyes Operations Center (ZOC), a unique U.S.-operated facility. This center operates round-the-clock, staffed by veterans from the military and law enforcement sectors, ensuring that any potential threat is assessed within seconds.

When experts at the ZOC validate a threat, they immediately relay detailed alerts to law enforcement and district officials within a few seconds of detection.

Superintendent Nate Parker emphasized the district’s dedication to proactive safety measures, stating, “The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We continue to take intentional, layered steps to strengthen our security systems and ensure our schools are prepared and protected. The renewal of ZeroEyes reflects that ongoing commitment.”
