In 2024, the security solutions company strengthened its efforts by partnering with Lamb Social Innovation Studio in Hualien to identify and address safety risks in Dachen New Village.
This collaboration placed VIVOTEK at the forefront of the 2026 Regional Revitalization and Corporate Sustainability Co-Creation Forum, which was organized by Taiwan's National Development Council (NDC).
This forum underscored the potential of business-community partnerships to foster sustainable regional development.
Partnership Details
The NDC is playing a pivotal role in enhancing such partnerships further by collaborating with the Financial Supervisory Commission and the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Starting in 2026, regional revitalization efforts will be integrated into ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation frameworks.
Deputy Minister Li-Pei Peng emphasized the NDC's commitment to helping companies engage effectively with local revitalization projects through three proposed partnership models.
Proposed Partnership Models
In collaboration with PwC Sustainability Services Company, the NDC introduced the Accelerator Model, the Value Integration Model, and the Ecosystem Building Model.
VIVOTEK's initiative is classified under the Ecosystem Building Model, which promotes cross-sector collaboration by aligning corporate resources with the efforts of regional revitalization teams, academic bodies, and public organizations to tackle systemic regional challenges, while integrating safety measures into local development plans.

The "Safety Map" initiative has united diverse stakeholders, including industry, government, academia, and research entities, with over 100 participants contributing more than 3,000 volunteer hours.
The program's influence extends across communities in Taiwan, including those in Zhonghe, New Taipei City, and Taoyuan City, with recent expansions to biodiversity conservation efforts along the Zhonggua River in Nantou.

Utilizing the FarmiSpace PRO monitoring service and AI crop monitoring system, the project captures valuable data, including footage of the rare crab-eating mongoose.

To address growing interest from companies on how to practically engage with regional revitalization efforts, the NDC introduced three partnership models designed to help businesses participate more effectively while enabling local revitalization teams to better connect with corporate partners, build long-term collaborations, share risks, and achieve mutual success.

Over the past five years, VIVOTEK’s “Safety Map” initiative have brought together partners from industry, government, academia, and research institutions, with more than one hundred participants contributing over 3,000 volunteer hours.
The program’s impact spans communities across Taiwan, including neighborhoods in Zhonghe, New Taipei City; Happy Home Mental Retardation Training Services Institution in Taoyuan City; Shuangxi Elementary School in Taipei’s Shilin District; and Dachen New Village in Hualien.
Last year, the initiative expanded to Zhonggua River in Nantou, extending its impact into biodiversity conservation.

Working with the National Chung Hsing University USR team, VIVOTEK helped restore the river ecosystem and create habitats for wildlife. In collaboration with DATAYOO, the project leverages its FarmiSpace PRO monitoring service and AI crop monitoring system to analyze crop indices derived from satellite spectral data.
The system also captured rare footage of the protected crab-eating mongoose foraging in the area. By combining intelligent security technologies with AI capabilities, VIVOTEK aims to create long-term value for communities and the natural environment.
