  • Queclink launches compact GL30 micro tracker for lone worker safety in high-risk zones.
  • GL30 offers real-time tracking, advanced alerts, and SOS features for rapid response.
  • Device uses LTE Cat M1/NB2 tech; boasts IP67 waterproof rating for harsh conditions.

Queclink Wireless Solutions, a provider of IoT devices and hardware, has launched its smallest-ever GPS location device with the introduction of a real-time micro tracker for advanced lone worker protection.

The GL30 possesses an ultra-compact and rugged design, multi-network connectivity, and enhanced location capabilities, making it ideal for the safety and security of employees working in remote or high-risk locations.

Advanced alert and SOS functionality

The safeguarding of lone workers is a priority for any organization, so there is growing demand for smaller and more powerful tracking tools that can operate in the most remote places and harshest conditions,” explains Vernon Bonser, UK Sales Director of Queclink Wireless Solutions.

Providing accurate, timely updates, with advanced alert and SOS functionality, the GL30 can be used to monitor the location, movement and welfare of people operating, ensuring a quick response to any issues or threats.”

LTE Cat M1/NB2 technology

Wi-Fi scanning detects when the device is near a known network and switches to power-saving mode

The LTE Cat M1/NB2 micro tracker measures just 60 × 31.7 × 19.66 mm, weighs 27.6 g, and has an IP67 waterproof rating for use in harsh environments.

It uses LTE Cat M1/NB2 technology, with 2G fallback and cellular base positioning, for accurate and timely location updates both indoors and outside.

Wi-Fi scanning detects when the device is near a known network and switches to power-saving mode, while BLE 5.2 connectivity means it can pair with beacons for asset management or accessory integration.

Flexible reporting and power modes

The GL30 has flexible reporting and power modes that maximize battery-life, including home-zone power saving. Depending on reporting intervals, it can last up to 170 days in standby mode, providing flexible options to best manage battery life versus reporting frequency.

Advanced motion detection, geozoning and SOS button also allows for monitoring of work patterns, resource management and highly configurable safety alerts.

Range of tracking units, dashcams and industrial routers

The GL30 extends our product portfolio with a device that is half the size and 60% lighter than our existing compact solution, as well as adding advanced capabilities for indoor-and event-based tracking. We are constantly listening to our technology partners to understand the needs of the marketplace and how we can use our proven expertise to help."

"This means we can continue to expand our range of tracking units, dashcams and industrial routers with reliable, cost-effective and feature-rich solutions that deliver sophisticated IoT applications,” adds Bonser.
