Prometheus Security Group Global (PSG) has announced that Jeremy Freeze-Skret, the company's Vice President of Engineering, has been recognized as a Small Business Innovator at the Texas Innovation Awards.
This recognition was part of the Texas Innovation Conference held on the Texas Christian University (TCU) campus in Fort Worth from April 22-23, 2026. The conference assembled a diverse group of innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry leaders to enhance collaboration and foster commercialization opportunities across the state.
Texas Innovation Conference and Awards
The Texas Innovation Awards celebrate the contributions of companies and individuals who are pushing forward innovation and economic development within the state. Honorees are selected from a pool that includes SBIR/STTR Phase II award recipients, academic researchers, and notable figures from Texas's innovation ecosystem. Jeremy Freeze-Skret's recognition is a testament to his leadership in extending the scope of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) within PSG's operations.
Advancements in Infrastructure Security
Under Freeze-Skret's guidance, PSG focuses on expanding ZTA to the physical security domain
Under Freeze-Skret's guidance, PSG focuses on expanding ZTA to the physical security domain, specifically integrating identity verification, authentication, and data integrity into sensors, access control hardware, and video systems.
Freeze-Skret, who holds several patents, gained this recognition in part due to PSG's ongoing SBIR Phase II award in support of its Scene Authentication technology. This technology aims to enhance critical infrastructure security by applying Zero Trust principles beyond security cameras to the physical environments they monitor, addressing an often-overlooked area of vulnerability.
Scene Authentication Technology
Freeze-Skret described the innovation: "We’ve developed a way to push protection beyond the camera lens and into the scene itself—verifying not just the device, but the physical environment it captures. By extending PSG’s Zero Trust approach across both legacy OT and video systems, we’re helping bring these critical technologies into the next generation. For operators, that’s a seismic shift, giving them confidence in the integrity of what they’re seeing and the actions they take."
Rick Gross, CEO of PSG, further emphasized the importance of this innovation: "Jeremy's dedication is emblematic of our unwavering commitment to national security. Extending Zero Trust to the scene itself isn't an incremental improvement, it's a fundamental advance in how we protect the infrastructure this nation depends on."
