With more than eight million passengers annually, the S15 dual cameras installed in 72 buses in the Los Angeles County public transportation system in California play a major role in increasing security and saving on costs. Besides the responsibility for passenger security, all interactions and activities between travelers and driver in and around the bus are very important. The intelligence of the S15 flex-platform makes it possible to store the video data locally on the bus.

In the event of an alarm, wireless communication is used to inform the control room of the bus company, which can then organize immediate measures for personnel or public authorities. To shorten reaction and intervention times, video data are configured with metadata, which enable secure search of video clips in a matter of seconds based on time, location or vehicle. Operators and passengers are impressed by the possibilities of intelligent video security, which not only increase the level of security but also provide improved service while at the same time reducing operating costs.
