Securiton’s SecuriSmoke ASD aspirating smoke detectors are often installed in critical infrastructures and hard-to-access locations.

SecuriSmoke aspirating smoke detectors (ASDs), often sited in hard-to-access locations including airports, laboratories, data centers and similar facilities, is also where the FidesNet networking solution comes into its own. At the heart of the networking solution is the Remote Control Unit (RCU) with its 7-inch color touch panel.

The Remote Control Unit (RCU) with its seven-inch color touch panel offers an intuitively understandable overview of the status of up to 100 ASDs (Aspirating Smoke Detectors). On a practical note, the ASDs are automatically sorted by status.

Other views available at the tap of a finger include detailed information on individual ASDs and airflow, along with smoke values displayed as a line chart. The touch panel also allows the isolation and resetting of individual detectors.

Perfect for large systems

The FidesNet networking solution is perfectly suited to medium and large systems, and is considered to be especially ideal for particularly large systems. Its scope for networking is almost unlimited with up to 100 SecuriSmoke Aspirating Smoke Detectors that can be visualized on one touch panel and conversely, a single ASD can be displayed on up to 50 touch panels.

Furthermore, a Network Communication Unit (NCU) is available for connecting FidesNet to higher-level systems, such as a data center control system. The Network Communication Unit is also used to configure the Aspirating Smoke Detectors (ASDs) using the ASD Configuration application.
