Redvision's Full HD RV30™ is now fully integrated with a VMS system which exploits Veracity's COLDSTORE™, the world's only storage system designed specifically for digital video surveillance.
Veracity, the specialty manufacturer of video surveillance transmission, storage and display products, used Redvision's newly released software development kit (SDK) to enable the integration.
Kingsley Greenman, Director of Technical Projects at Veracity UK, explains, "The COLDSTORE-partnered VMS initially controlled Redvision's RV30 IP rugged dome using the universal ONVIF protocol, which worked immediately with no additional development. However, Redvision's Firmware and SDK package allowed us to take full advantage of more advanced functionality.
Veracity and Redvision pro-actively work together
Veracity and Redvision are both successful in local authority and public space applications. The integration has allowed us to pro-actively work together on combined projects in this sector.
Both the 1080p and 720p models of the RV30HD™ camera share the same SDK integration. The 1080p model, IR and white light illumination switched on, is effective up to 120 and 100 metres respectively, with operators recognising people at up to 40 metres. The 720p model is effective up to a staggering 200 metres, with operators identifying people at 70 metres.
Video compression format options include H.264, MPEG4 or JPEG and both models have a 30x optical and 12x digital zoom.
