Xesar and EPS locking systems meet very strict security standards and provide ideal protection

More than 200 students in various secondary school types receive tuition and training on their way to becoming high-performance athletes. The secondary school in Vösendorf, south of Vienna, is due to open its doors in September 2014. An educational institution requires a flexible security system.

Xesar – The Ideal Solution

EVVA Partner Wehrhan TPS Sicherheitstechnik was one of the first Certified Partners (CP) and the company boasts a comprehensive level of expertise. After having completed partner training, Harald Blauensteiner and his team had been ideally prepared to equip 68 door types with the electronic Xesar solutions and 20 additional doors with the mechanical EPS system.

Wehrhan used the executive architect’s plans as the basis to identify all escape and emergency routes and get to work. "Xesar was the ideal solution, the system visually matches the overall image, the school is very modern with sophisticated design featuring stainless steel and subtle red tones", Blauensteiner explains.

An additional reason to opt for this system was Mifare DESfire technology. This encryption standard meets very strict security standards and provides ideal protection. It also offers different additional functions, such as time sheets or card payments at vending machines as well as in the canteen. All these functions can help save vast amounts of time during the busy school schedule.

The chip’s speed saves additional time. Doors open promptly following authorization, an important property for users. The school management additionally points out that Xesar is the ideal security solution. "Access from both sides is particularly important in areas where boys must use separate facilities from girls. Xesar also meets this requirement", Blauensteiner continues.

Security demands of a school

Burglaries in schools are a relatively rare occurrence. In schools, it’s more about losing keys or identification media. Questions arise, such as "how do I handle lost chips?" "How flexible is the system in the event that I would like to add new identification media?" These are all questions EVVA-CP Wehrhan TPS clarified with the school to provide the best solution for the customer. Maximum security technology performance.
