HID is set to advance mobile access integration as part of organizational digital transformation efforts by unveiling new features ahead of GSX 2026.
These enhancements allow businesses to leverage existing infrastructures, thus minimizing the need for extensive onsite changes or replacing equipment. The latest updates enable entities to streamline deployment processes by utilizing the HID Mobile Access App, which offers new functionalities for its HID mobile-ready readers like HID Signo™ and iCLASS® SE™. With these updates, facilities can use existing Seos® keys without needing reconfigurations or firmware upgrades, leading to reduced deployment time and costs while ensuring security standards are maintained.
Challenges in Mobile Access Implementation
One frequent challenge in implementing mobile projects is upgrading readers installed throughout facilities. According to Nick Stoner, Vice President, PACS NAM Channel Sales at HID, "Organizations have recognized the value of mobile access for years, but large-scale implementations have often required significant time, resources, and coordination."
The newly introduced enhancements aim to alleviate such challenges by enabling organizations to utilize pre-existing infrastructure, allowing for more efficient project delivery by integration partners.
HID's Support for Integration Partners
HID is expanding its digital wallet options, now including support for Samsung Wallet
For North American partners enrolled in the HID Advantage Partner Program (APP) and participating in the Trade-Up initiative, HID presents QuickStart to Mobile. This service facilitates faster onboarding of end users, freeing integration partners to concentrate on project execution. By easing enrollment processes, partners can efficiently manage project schedules as customers commence issuing mobile credentials, thus streamlining both planning and user adoption.
In addition to infrastructure benefits, HID is expanding its digital wallet options, now including support for Samsung Wallet. This expansion is designed to hasten mobile adoption by leveraging digital wallets users are already familiar with, thereby enhancing accessibility and convenience. Furthermore, the introduction of HID Linq™ Mobile empowers administrators to perform updates and manage reader configurations directly via mobile devices, using Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) and NFC technologies. This advancement reduces the necessity for significant onsite work while preparing readers for mobile credentials.
Balancing Existing Infrastructure and Mobile Advancement
Through these enhancements, HID allows organizations to maintain existing infrastructure investments while adopting mobile credentials as part of their digital strategy.
This balanced approach underscores HID's commitment to helping clients maximize the utility derived from HID technology and navigate their digital transformation journeys cohesively. HID will be showcasing these innovations at GSX 2026, where interested parties can learn more by visiting booth #1323 or contacting their HID Account Manager.
HID, a pioneer in trusted identity solutions, announces new enhancements that help organizations fast-track their mobile access adoption as part of their broader digital transformation. Introduced ahead of GSX 2026, the updates enable users to build on existing infrastructure, reduce onsite work and streamline deployment by eliminating the need to replace readers or issue new mobile keys.
One of the biggest obstacles for mobile projects is the need to update readers already installed throughout a facility. The HID Mobile Access App now includes new functionality that enables HID mobile-ready readers, including HID Signo™ and iCLASS® SE™, to use existing Seos® keys without needing to replace or reconfigure readers, perform firmware updates or require truck rolls. The result is a faster, lower-cost path to mobile while maintaining HID's trusted security.
Large-scale implementations
"Organizations have recognized the value of mobile access for years, but large-scale implementations have often required significant time, resources and coordination," said Nick Stoner, Vice President, PACS NAM Channel Sales, HID. "These new capabilities make mobile deployments more practical by allowing customers to use the infrastructure they already have and giving integration partners a more efficient way to deliver projects."
For HID Advantage Partner Program (APP) partners participating in HID’s Trade-Up program in North America, HID is also introducing QuickStart to Mobile, a service that enables HID to onboard end users on behalf of integration partners. Instead of spending time enrolling users, partners can focus on project delivery as customers begin issuing mobile credentials sooner, simplifying both deployment planning and user rollout.
Digital wallet options
Additional updates that support the transition to mobile include:
- Expanded digital wallet support: HID is adding support for Samsung Wallet, expanding digital wallet options in global markets. By supporting wallets people already use, organizations can accelerate mobile adoption, making access more convenient.
- Simplified reader management: HID Linq™ Mobile enables administrators to configure, update and prepare compatible readers directly from a mobile device. Firmware updates, reader configuration and mobile enablement can all be completed in the field using Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) and NFC, reducing the onsite work required to prepare readers for mobile credentials.
Investments in HID technology
Rather than requiring organizations to choose between maintaining existing infrastructure and adopting mobile credentials, HID's latest enhancements provide a practical digital transformation path that supports both. Customers can scale mobile access strategically, building on existing investments while supporting current operational priorities and future growth. Together, these enhancements demonstrate HID’s customer-focused approach and its continued commitment to helping customers derive greater value from their investments in HID technology.
HID will showcase these capabilities during GSX 2026 at booth #1323. To learn more, visit the team at the show or reach out to the HID Account Manager.
