The hard work pays off, as evidenced by the fact a MOBOTIX camera has never been hacked. “We are constantly working on identifying possible security gaps and closing them immediately to keep it that way,” explains Thomas Dieregsweiler, Head of Product Management at MOBOTIX AG.

“We do this to the point that we anticipate the latest technological developments and analyze how they could affect the cyber security of our products and solutions. If we see a potential threat, we will release an appropriate security update,” says Dieregsweiler.
MOBOTIX is now releasing a Cactus Patch for the first time. All MOBOTIX cyber security activities are described in the Cactus Concept. The newly released Cactus Patch guarantees users of MOBOTIX cameras from the M10 series, which was launched in 2004, up to the current models the best possible protection against cyber-attacks in the future. “This allows us to protect the longevity of our products and ensures that the older MOBOTIX systems that are still in use continue to be cyber-safe,” says Dieregsweiler.
Enhanced cyber security
The Cactus Patch will be available to all MOBOTIX customers free of charge and is easy to install. MOBOTIX has also published customer and partner newsletters with all the necessary information about the available Cactus Patch and a recommendation to install the software immediately.
