Thomas Jensen, the CEO of Milestone Systems, has stepped down from his role effective immediately, prompting the company to begin its search for a new pioneer.
The board of directors has decided to enhance cohesion and collaboration within the organization by appointing an interim CEO and initiating the recruitment process for Jensen's successor.
Appointment of Interim CEO
Jeppe Frandsen, who has been the vice-chairman of Milestone's board since 2015, has been named as the acting CEO. Consequently, Frandsen will no longer serve on the board.
Lau Normann Jørgensen, the chairman of Milestone, also revealed in a press release that Seymour Liebman, Executive Vice President at Canon, has assumed the position of vice chairman on the board.

While no further details were provided regarding Jensen's departure, Jørgensen acknowledged Jensen's successful efforts over the past five years, which include establishing Milestone as a pioneer in areas like responsible technology, AI, and data sovereignty within the EU. "We thank Thomas for his contributions and wish him all the best in his future endeavors," added Jørgensen.
Canon's Enhanced Board Presence
Alongside the changes in leadership, Milestone has seen an enhanced presence from Canon on its board. Seymour Liebman's appointment as vice chairman is part of Canon's strong commitment to Milestone.
This commitment is further underscored by the involvement of Minoru Asada, Group Executive F&A, as Jørgensen emphasized in the announcement.
