OPTEX, the sensor manufacturer, has opened a new office in Offenbach, Germany to better support its network of distributors and system integrators in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) region.

Resource For DACH Distribution Partners

The new facility near Frankfurt includes a meeting room with live products, and will be managed by Thomas Napora, Head of Business Development/Sales in the DACH region for OPTEX (security products). He is expecting business expansion in outdoor intrusion detection for the residential and commercial applications, as well as a growing number of high security perimeter protection projects in the region.

The DACH region has been a focal point for us for the last couple of years,” Thomas says, “we have seen a growing interest in our award-winning REDSCAN laser sensors, our active infrared beam towers and our short and long range outdoor PIRS.

With a strong base of trained and certified channel partners, we have now reached a point where we need to invest into the expanding DACH region with a genuine physical presence. This new office in central Germany will be a fantastic resource for our existing network of distribution partners and system integrators.”

Product And Sales Training For OPTEX Partners And Integrators

Thomas’ team will also focus on providing project assistance including planning, onsite assistance, system design, and integration support for video management software and PSIM platforms up to commissioning, and additional product and sales training for all OPTEX Partners and system integrators. It will also support its partners at key events and exhibitions in the DACH region.

As outdoor protection is usually the first line of security, OPTEX’s intrusion detection sensors play a significant part in an overall security solution,” Thomas adds. “The support OPTEX will offer from this office will insure that the requirements of end customers will be met with the right sensors integrated with other technologies.”

OPTEX EMEA Headquarters

Jacques Vaarre, Managing Director of OPTEX, EMEA Headquarters, says the company has enjoyed substantial growth in the region over the last few years: “We felt it was vital to sustain this growth that we have a local office where system integrators and distributors can ask any questions and seek advice on any potential projects.”

The move follows the opening of the OPTEX EMEA Headquarters in Maidenhead three years ago.
