Dortronics continues to fulfill the market’s demand for flexible door interlock and mantrap systems with their highly versatile and economical 4800 Series Intelligent Interlock Controllers. Featured this week at ASIS 2017 in the Dortronics booth (# 1925), the 4800 Series offers users the flexibility to configure the controller in the field to accommodate up to five doors with ample flexibility for various input/output configurations. Also featured is a new accessory product for contact relays which further expands system design possibilities.

PLC-based Door Controls

Our 4800 Series Intelligent Interlock Controllers is the latest addition to our comprehensive line of PLC-based door controls that deliver installers and users a wide range of versatility for door interlocks and specialized applications,” said Bryan Sanderford, National Sales Manager, Dortronics Systems, Inc. “The 4800 Series is specifically engineered to deliver advanced features typically found only in more costly and complex controllers.”

Intelligent Door Interlock Controllers

Dortronics 4800 Series intelligent door interlock controllers feature twelve field assignable inputs and seventeen configurable relay outputs for maximum flexibility. The new auxiliary relay lock output accessory adds to this flexibility with up to five factory-installable accessory terminal blocks. When form C contacts are required for additional functionality the auxiliary terminal boards can be specified on the purchase order and installed prior to shipment. These give the option of additional normally-open or normally-closed terminals with the 4800 Series controller.

Additional design features include a unique watchdog circuit that constantly monitors operation; LED indicators for input-output connection status; voltage spike and surge protection on all outputs; and adjustable propped door, panic release, and door unlock timers. Dortronics 4800 Series Smart Interlock Door Controllers are available as a board-only module or complete with a heavy duty 4-amp power supply.
