With the pixelation function ‘AI Pixelation’ in SeMSy® Compact Dallmeier presents an innovative solution for data protection compliant video surveillance. Depending on requirements, AI Pixelation enables automatic pixelation of objects such as persons or vehicles – both in live streams and in the display of recordings.

‘AI Pixelation’ is an innovative feature of the Dallmeier SeMSy® Compact video management software. In combination with an AI installed on the cameras, the so-called Deep AI object classification, various objects can be automatically pixelated.

Data protection requirements

Deep AI object classification is available on all Domera® 6000 series cameras

Deep AI object classification is available on all Domera® 6000 series cameras and all current Picoline and Panomera® models. Deep AI object classification is based on pre-installed neural networks and enables precise real-time analysis of video data. On this basis, the system reliably recognizes relevant objects, such as people, and can then pixelate them on the client side in the SeMSy® Compact video management software.

Pixelation can be activated for defined user groups, both in live streams and when viewing recordings. However, the data in the recording itself remains unpixelated, so that people with the appropriate authorization can view the original data at any time.

In this way, AI Pixelation ensures privacy protection and compliance with legal data protection requirements, including the GDPR.
