This partnership will leverage Commvault's technologies within the Microsoft Azure platform, addressing the growing need for secure data solutions as businesses increasingly embrace the cloud and expand AI applications.
Integration on Azure Cloud Platform
The collaboration provides Azure customers with direct access to Commvault’s AI and cyber resilience tools, facilitating seamless integration on the Azure cloud platform. This integration aims to offer enterprises reliable data recovery, application restoration, and identity protection in the event of cyber-attacks, system failures, or human mistakes. The partnership simplifies processes by eliminating the need for separate infrastructure and manual integrations, enhancing the user experience for Commvault's client base.

Additionally, this collaboration allows customers to manage Commvault services alongside current Azure solutions, utilizing a coherent and integrated experience.
Organizations can optimize their Azure spending by acquiring Commvault solutions through the Microsoft Marketplace, allowing costs to be allocated toward the Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment. Commvault and Microsoft plan to pursue joint marketing strategies, including co-selling and developing solutions to promote cyber resilience on Azure. The new service is anticipated to undergo public preview this summer.

This will give Azure customers the ability to discover, provision, and seamlessly integrate Commvault’s trusted resilience capabilities directly from the Azure cloud platform.

These capabilities can be used to help enterprises rapidly recover and restore data, applications, and identities if systems are compromised by attacks, outages, or human error. This collaboration will provide a unified experience across procurement, onboarding, and operations, eliminating the need for separate infrastructure, manual integrations, or external tooling for Commvault customers.

- Deliver a seamless native Azure experience: With Commvault native on the Azure cloud platform, customers will be able to deploy and manage Commvault’s resilience capabilities alongside their existing Azure services through a consistent, integrated experience.
- Maximize Azure investments: Customers can purchase Commvault Cloud through the Microsoft Marketplace and apply usage toward their Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC), simplifying procurement and aligning resilience investments with broader cloud spend.
Commvault and Microsoft will collaborate on joint go-to-market initiatives, including co-selling, solution development, and integrated sales motions designed to accelerate cloud journeys and customer adoption of cyber resilience on Azure. Commvault’s native ISV service on Azure is expected to enter public preview this summer.
