Galaxy 2 Series makes the grade among UK security installers

Honeywell today announced that it was voted Best Intruder Alarm Manufacturer, for the Galaxy 2 series of intruder alarm panels, at the PSI Premier Awards, which took place on 6th June 2006 at Moor Park Golf Club.

The Galaxy 2 Series control panel range is compliant with Grade 2 of the standard: PD6662: 2004/prEN 50131-1, making it ideal for installations in residential and small commercial properties.  Award winning features include the backwards compatibility, making it quick and easy to install in retrofit applications, or with existing Galaxy panels.  In addition, it provides dual path signaling, via PSTN or GSM - increasing the scope for installation in applications where it would be too costly to install PSTN lines, such as remote locations or temporary buildings, and enhancing reliability by offering back-up communications should a landline fail.

Since it was launched in 2005, the Galaxy 2 series has been a very popular product with UK installers, delivering an excellent solution at the right price.  Mick Goodfellow, UK sales leader for Honeywell Security and Custom Electronics collected the award, he comments: "We are absolutely delighted to win this award.  It means so much to us as it reflects the voice of the customer - the installer.  It shows that Honeywell continues to deliver the right products and service to meet the needs of professional security installers."

The prestigious annual awards event, is respected industry-wide, as the awards winners are nominated and voted for exclusively by security installers.  Leading security magazine Professional Security Installer (PSI) runs a six-month campaign each year, encouraging installers to nominate products or manufacturers whom they see worthy of this accolade.  Honeywell Security and Custom Electronics received the highest number of votes in the intruder alarm category.
