An updated version of the ONVIF distance learning training course has been published on the Tavcom website.

The free training course focuses on ONVIF specific issues and includes new product and conformance process modules. It also provides information on ONVIF’s new Observer membership which offers an opportunity for architects, consultants, engineers and the media to be associated with ONVIF and use its conformance tools

ONVIF is an open industry forum for the development of a global standard for the interface of IP-based physical security products. The ONVIF specification is intended to ensure interoperability between products regardless of manufacturer and as such, it defines a common protocol for communication between IP network devices.

“We are very pleased have a further opportunity to show our support for the aims and objectives of ONVIF by helping to develop and host the updated training course,” said Paul Tennent, Managing Director of Tavcom. “We know from an analysis of our website traffic that the previous version of the online course attracted the attention of large numbers of security professionals who were keen to learn about ONVIF and we have no doubt that this latest version of the course will be just as popular.”
