To enable demonstration advantages of BWA's proprietary (MPEG4-based) video compression, T-Mobile Germany sponsored full Internet traffic during the Security show and provided exclusively to BWA Technology, a pre-production unit of the new inexpensive 3G/HSDPA/EDGE/WiFi router with integrated antenna (none PC Card) - Web'N'Walk-Box-II.

EDGE - low-costs GPRS successor - enables approximately twice higher upload transfer rates and provides better availability (in Germany: full coverage until end 2007) compared to a standard 3G/UMTS connection.  Therefore it is more affordable to use smart NDVRs from BWA with high-efficient compression and self-adjustable FPS (by constant video quality) to keep you up-to-date or provide time-shifted access to full FPS (simultaneously recorded on the internal HDD), e.g. via WiFi - anywhere, anytime.

The audio and video performance of the DiREX-Pro series has been significantly improved with our free firmware updates. Thanks to continuous co-operation with industrial and institutional customers, new features have been added and existing ones fine tuned. [learn more]

Europe's leading provider of communication solutions, LANCOM Systems, has tested our NDVR with various connection types. The test results show that DiREX-Pro is also ideally suited for mobile 3G/HSDPA/EDGE backups with encrypted VPN connection. [learn more]

At the SECURITY exhibition in Essen we presented prototype products such as the autonomous, compact DVR DiREX-M.CF which has no HDD. Providing high video quality and low power consumption, this device is perfect for peripheral use and for small budgets too. Its compact size and light weight means the DiREX-M.CF can be worn easily on the body and so new applications become possible, e.g. disaster control, public transport and freight forwarding. At our stand we exhibited interesting example applications of our DVRs in action.
