VIVOTEK CA80 Series infrared illuminators
The VIVOTEK CA80 Series provides 850 nm infrared illumination for security surveillance, combining a 24-LED array with adjustable beam coverage. Two models offer different illumination patterns, allowing installers to match coverage to the camera’s field of view and the required distance.
- CA80I8-1040: circular beam with a 10°–40° horizontal angle and a specified illumination distance of 140–350 m; available in limited stock.
- CA80I8-2040: elliptical beam with a 20°–40° horizontal angle and a specified illumination distance of 170–280 m.
IR output can be adjusted from 20% to 100% through the CaMate remote controller or RS-485 control. Six selectable light-sensor thresholds enable automatic activation, while an external IR on/off input and day/night switching output support integration with surveillance equipment.
Ideal use cases
Long-range outdoor surveillance installations can benefit from the series’ selectable coverage and IP68- and IK10-rated casing. Its specified operating temperature range of -40°C to +50°C accommodates demanding environmental conditions. Both models accept 24 V DC or 24 V AC power, with maximum consumption of 90 W. A U-type bracket and CMA-E01 remote controller are included for mounting and configuration.
