The complete standalone solution leverages the transparency and flexibility of Axis’ standards-based IP-based approach to deliver a scalable and easy-to-install method to combine long-range identification with efficient physical security devices. This joint Nedap Identification Systems-Axis offering will officially be introduced to the market during Intersec Dubai, 17-19 January. Standalone Solution By combining Nedap’s readers for long-range identification with Axis’ products for physical access control, customers benefit from an open and future-flexible IP-alternative to enhance their security solutions. Automatic Vehicle And Driver Identification Nedap’s TRANSIT Ultimate is a robust long-range identification reader, based on semi-active RFID technology, enabling automatic vehicle and driver identification at distances of up to 10 m (33 ft.). This high-end reader is now available as a standalone solution, taking advantage of the open architecture of the AXIS A1001 IP-based network door controller that features embedded access management software. Nedap’s uPASS readers offer long-range vehicle identification using the latest UHF technology.
