Harper Chalice beat more than 100 other companies in the region to be shortlisted in the awards finals
Harper Chalice is a leader in developing perimeter security systems for the security industry set up

Perimeter security systems developer Harper Chalice has been confirmed as a finalist in the prestigious Midlands-region business awards run by the Coventry Evening Telegraph. Despite a record number of entries to the awards, now in their 17th year, Harper Chalice beat more than 100 other companies in the region to be shortlisted in the awards finals, thanks to its record of technological innovation.

The chairman of the judging panel and policy director of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, Alan Durham, said selecting the winners this year had been particularly tough. "We had more entries than ever before and more firms and organizations from across Coventry and Warwickshire entered this year's event."

"But we were delighted and incredibly impressed by the range of businesses and the excellent standards of products and services that business across the region provide."

Welcoming the awards announcement Graham Harper, MD of Harper Chalice, said that technological innovation was key to the company's current impressive sales growth and its ambitious expansion plans. "Last year, as a direct result of new product development, we grew our turnover by 112%. We are already beating that achievement this year and, looking ahead, we are confident of significantly increasing our market share. With sales of our PulseSecure  and FenceSecure systems growing rapidly we expect to increase turnover by more than 300% during the next twelve months."

"Where our systems are installed, persistent break-in problems are typically solved overnight...."

A key reason for Harper Chalice's success in the awards is that its security solutions are directly helping other businesses and individuals to prosper, he added. "First, and most importantly, we are helping to tackle and reduce crime which can be a make-or-break issue for hard-hit companies."

"Where our systems are installed, persistent break-in problems are typically solved overnight. For example, at one recently protected site the owner told us that buying our system was the best investment he's ever made for his business, and that further installations of our technology will be a part of his expansion plans."

"Secondly, we are providing new opportunities for growth and business for our international network of Accredited Dealers. We give them a comprehensive programme of training and support, and are helping them to grow and succeed as well."

Harper Chalice solutions include the PulseSecure PROTECTOR HVLV perimeter security system, recently judged by government assessors to be the UK's most secure system of its kind,  and the FenceSecure PIDS detection system. "Our mission is to design perimeter security solutions that are better, quicker, neater, easier to install, more reliable and secure than any alternatives. A measure of our success is that they are increasingly being installed at critical sites across the UK and globally."
