Securitas has been awarded a contract to provide a security solution for leading aircraft manufacturer, Airbus.
Securitas To Develop Aerodrome Fire & Rescue Services
The security solution will provide many specialized services and includes the platform for Securitas to further develop its aerodrome fire and rescue services.
Securitas has been providing security services for Airbus in France, Spain and Germany since 1990. Last year Airbus put out a tender for the UK and Securitas' 40-strong bid team beat off stiff competition to secure the prestigious win.
Proved Specialist Service Capability
Michael Clancy, Commercial Director at Securitas said: " In winning this contract we have proved our specialist service capability and the depth of our reach back to specialists in both the UK and across Securitas EMEA. What was already Securitas European and Global Accounts Department’s (SEGAD) largest account has now increased in size with the addition of the UK portfolio."
The service contract will cover Airbus' sites in Chester, North Wales, Bristol, Portsmouth and Stevenage and will include reception duties, airport security, aerodrome fire and rescue, and fire vehicle and equipment maintenance and strategy advice.
