The new feature provides a new dimension in protection of the card holder portrait against manipulation after issuance
tru/window™ LOCK  is engineered for identity documents like national identity cards and passport data pages

Trüb has launched a new personalisation security feature for laser-engraved polycarbonate travel and identity documents. The tru/window™ LOCK security feature offers a new dimension in protection of the card holder portrait against manipulation after issuance.

Trüb's new security feature tru/window™ LOCK is designed for laser-engraved polycarbonate documents such as national identity cards and passport data pages. The technology is based on a sophisticated laser ablation personalisation process on a metallic foil which is integrated into a transparent window. A ghost image is laser personalized into the metal foil so that a simultaneous manipulation of the card hold portrait and ghost image after issuance of the document will leave visible traces. Hence, a fraudulent manipulation of the card holder portrait could easily be detected.

With tru/window™ LOCK Trüb presents a highly innovative security concept which is easy to understand and to verify, resulting in further increased security level of travel and identity documents.

The tru/window™ LOCK security feature will be presented at Cartes & Identification' exhibition held in Paris from 15 to 17 November, 2011.
