Over two hundred channel partners from around the globe will attend the Gallagher Group's security conference in Hamilton, New Zealand, prompting the need to move off-site to a larger venue.

Titled "A Break with Convention", the four day security conference for channel partners is the fifth hosted by Gallagher Security in New Zealand and General Manager, Curtis Edgecombe says organisers have received a record number of registrations from twenty-two countries.

He says, "Under normal circumstances Gallagher Group's head office conference room would be suitable to host a large event. However the number of guests pre-registered for this year's conference forced a change of venue. The obvious choice was to book the Atrium at Wintec."

Mr Edgecombe says using the Wintec facilities is extremely significant for Gallagher Security. "Not only are we hosting important major international event on site at one of our clients but the workshops will also be held in the facility named after the founder of this company, the Gallagher Hub."

"The diverse facilities available at Wintec will allow staff to present a range of workshops including interactive displays and presentations. We have a very busy schedule from product presentations to business strategy development. Each component of this conference is designed to share best practice concepts with an objective of increasing profitability for our partners."

A highlight of the conference is the international guest speaker line-up which includes Stuart Wilson, Principal Advisor on Crisis and Emergency Management for Newmont Mining Australia.

"Mr Wilson has been directly responsible for restructuring, re-equipping and training the Fire and Emergency Services Department for Newmont Mines. He is a strong advocate of Gallagher's security systems and securing his time to present ideas on how Gallagher can collaborate with channel partner is extremely valuable."

"This conference will be an exciting exchange of knowledge and ideas that will take place and to showcasing research, demonstration, and innovation projects that are at the forefront of our product developments."

The conference will begin on Wednesday 16th March with an official powhiri at Gallagher Group World Headquarters.
