What:

Honeywell Security Group introduces new mobile apps for its popular LYNX Touch 5100 self-contained security system:

  • The new L5100 Connect iOS app allows homeowners to control the system anywhere on premises within their Wi-Fi coverage areas on iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch®. The app provides local control of the security system, and if so equipped, control of Z-Wave® enabled lights, locks, thermostats and more. This approach helps homeowners save money on energy and utility bills, conserve resources and live a more comfortable, efficient lifestyle.
  • For dealers, the company recently released a free demo app for both iOS and Android platforms, which works on compatible tablets and smartphones and allows dealers to demonstrate the product’s security, home automation and tornado warning functions to prospective customers anytime, anywhere – without the need for a physical key pad or demo case.

Where:

  • Homeowners can download the new iOS app for local control from Apple’s iTunes Store for a one-time fee of $9.99.
  • Dealers can download the free demo iOS app at Apple’s iTunes Store, or the Android app from Google.
