OPTEX Europe, a leading sensor manufacturer, has reported a significant number of important enquiries for its security solutions to go in a controlled access room following its first time exhibiting at the recent Data Centre World exhibition at ExCeL London.
Security is paramount for data centers and OPTEX offers a range of intrusion detection solutions that help protect every layer of a data center.
OPTEX Solutions at Data Centre World
Two products attracted particular interest: one was the piggybacking detection solution that adds a layer of security to existing access control solutions, and will detect situations where unauthorized people are trying to go a controlled access room by piggybacking an authorized person.
The second was the SecurLAN™, a fiber optic solution that detects tampering with the physical data cables. The most intelligent element of this product is that it uses dark fiber, the fiber not used for data transmission to act as a sensor
