Lenel Systems International, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise software, integrated systems and access control systems, recently launched OnGuard 2012, the latest release of its industry-leading security management platform available to Lenel’s Value Added Resellers (VARs) in the third quarter 2012. Customers can benefit from OnGuard’s stronger integration capability and increased functionality. Lenel is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

“In response to customer suggestions, we streamlined the setup process, strengthened our Access and Security Series hardware platforms, and improved the Alarm Monitoring usability interface,” said Brian Tripp, OnGuard product manager, Lenel.  “OnGuard 2012 provides an improved user experience for badge upgrades and monitoring client stations, and allows operators to more effectively use their “multi-monitor” workspace.”

Additionally, OnGuard 2012 includes support for Lenel’s Universal IO’s on the Security Series Controllers (NGP), enhanced firmware and battery status support for Lenel’s Intelligent Locking System (ILS), and a “time zone override” function on the Access Series Controllers (LNL) that allows security to “Lock Out” certain individuals access in response to events.

“Lenel’s vision is to build and support the most innovative, flexible and scalable integrated security solutions in the world, empowering our customers to effectively protect and manage their people, property and assets. To accomplish this goal we will be deploying a focused strategy built around a revived and simplified product portfolio, increased sales coverage and expertise, an improved customer experience and, most important, substantial efforts to develop our people for growth and success,” said Joe Kirmser, president, Lenel
