Mission 500, a dedicated nonprofit organization within the security sector, held its annual Awards Ceremony on March 26 at ISC West 2026.
The event, hosted at The Bridge on the exhibition floor, united industry leaders to honor individuals and companies contributing significantly to community service, philanthropy, and engagement.
Distinguished Humanitarian Award
The prestigious 2026 Humanitarian Award was awarded to Fredrik Nilsson, Vice President of the Americas at Axis Communications. This accolade is given to those in the security industry who showcase an extraordinary commitment to charity work.
Under Nilsson’s leadership, such values have become integral at Axis Communications, with initiatives like Axis Community Day underlining this dedication. As a founding member of the Mission 500 board, Nilsson's steadfast support and ability to inspire others have solidified his impact on the organization’s mission.
Corporate Social Responsibility Recognition
RX Global received the Mission 500 CSR Award for its commitment to helping those in needThis year, RX Global received the Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award for its impactful contributions to those in need.
The company’s RXCares program encourages employees to volunteer, providing them the opportunity to engage in various community initiatives, reflecting a strong commitment to make a positive difference.
Presentation of the Chairman’s Award
The Chairman's Award, in its second year, acknowledges those who significantly support Mission 500 beyond expectations. This year's recipients were Jeffrey Eichenlaub, Executive Director at Serve All NY, and Mission 500 board member Phil Leverette, CEO of ECT Fire & Security. Their leadership and dedication, both publicly and behind the scenes, have been essential in advancing Mission 500’s objectives.
Top Performers in the Mission 500 5K/2K
The ceremony also celebrated top performers in the Mission 500 5K/2K race, held at Sunset Park earlier in the day. Notable finishers included:
- Men’s Division: Jacob Erdman (1st place), James Goddard (2nd place), Brennen Quigley (3rd place)
- Women’s Division: Cathy Hartwell (1st place), Amanda Hoskins (2nd place), Courtney Terlecki (3rd place)
The Fastest Team award went to Alarm.com, and HID earned the Best Dressed Team title. Awards also acknowledged top participants across various age categories, highlighting strong support from the security industry community.

Jason Lutz, Chair of Mission 500, remarked on the dedication evident within the industry: "The security industry is known for its dedication to protecting others, and it’s that same dedication that shines through in the way we serve others. Humanitarian Award
The 2026 Mission 500 Humanitarian Award was presented to Fredrik Nilsson, Vice President of the Americas at Axis Communications. The Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award is designed to honor companies in the Security Industry who make important contributions to those in need. This year’s CSR Award was presented to RX Global in recognition of its ongoing commitment to giving back. Through initiatives such as its global RXCares program, which provides employees with dedicated volunteer time to support causes they care about, RX Global empowers its teams to engage in volunteerism, fundraising, and community impact efforts.

The ceremony also included the presentation of the Chairman’s Award, now in its second year and designed to recognize individuals who go above and beyond in their support of Mission 500. This year’s honorees included Jeffrey Eichenlaub, Executive Director at Serve All NY and Mission 500 board member, whose behind-the-scenes leadership has been instrumental in the success of Mission 500’s care pack build initiatives.
Also recognized was Phil Leverette, CEO of ECT Fire & Security, a steadfast supporter of Mission 500 who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the organization’s mission, both during the 2025 Service Trip and behind the scenes.

In addition to honoring leaders in service and philanthropy, the ceremony also recognized top performers from the Mission 500 5K/2K, held earlier that morning at Sunset Park.
