IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is advancing its uEye Live monitoring range with the introduction of the uEye SFA camera, specifically engineered for robust performance in demanding industrial conditions. This new model, notable for its dust and moisture resistance, targets industrial process monitoring environments where durability is critical.
The uEye SFA camera's IP69K-rated housing ensures protection against dust penetration and withstands high-pressure water jets, making it suitable for harsh cleaning processes. It offers high image quality through its 8-megapixel IMX678 sensor from Sony's STARVIS 2 series, providing vivid imagery even under low-light conditions. This robust design is coupled with flexible streaming capabilities, offering reliability and adaptability for various industrial applications.
Flexibility Through Streamlined Operations
The camera integrates screw-lock connectors for enhanced operational reliability. Utilizing Power over Ethernet (PoE), the device transmits both data and power through a single cable, extending connectivity up to 100 meters. "With the uEye SFA, we offer users a rugged monitoring camera that is easy to integrate and delivers reliable live images even under demanding conditions," stated Marcus Rembold, Product Manager at IDS.
Designed for standalone functionality, the uEye SFA supports video streaming, hardware-accelerated encoding, and event-based recording. Multiple streams can be configured and managed in parallel, catering to diverse streaming requirements for effective process oversight.
Additionally, the uEye Live range also comprises the compact uEye SCP, which follows the 29 x 29 x 29 mm industrial standard format, and the space-efficient uEye SLE, a single-board camera measuring 45 x 45 mm. This lineup provides a spectrum of designs aimed at flexible live monitoring solutions in industrial processes.
