The certification process involves a complete and rigorous Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) which evaluates the environmental impact of a product over its entire life cycle, from raw material extraction to end-of-life disposal.

Additional credit ratings
The significance of sustainable practice is growing in this sector, and while not mandatory, the use of EPD-certified door hardware products in construction projects earns additional credit ratings for building schemes such as BREEAM, LEED, SKA, and UKGBC.
