Commvault has introduced enhancements to its Cloud Rewind solution, aiming to bolster the protection and recovery of Microsoft Azure resources. This development is designed to assist organizations in swiftly restoring cloud applications and the supporting resources, simplifying what is typically a cumbersome and error-prone manual process.
The difficulty in manually rebuilding environments is highlighted by Absolute Security's 2026 State of Enterprise Cyber Resilience report, which found that recovery from a cyberattack takes more than 4.5 days on average for 57% of enterprises. Cloud Rewind facilitates continuous discovery of cloud resources, mapping application dependencies, and orchestrating the recovery of cloud applications, infrastructure, configurations, and dependencies all from a single platform.
Expanded Azure Resource Coverage
This expansion increases Azure protection by threefold, covering 62% of Azure resource types relevant to enterprises currently available. Organizations can now validate their recovery readiness by simulating application recovery, including in isolated, air-gapped environments, before a real incident occurs.
