Canon VB-H41, VB-H610VE, VB-H610D and VB-H710 cameras all offer Full HD video with superb image quality
Cathexis integrates the new range of Canon full HD IP cameras into its CatVision video management software

Cathexis Europe has integrated the new range of Canon Full HD IP cameras into its CatVision video management software suite and the VMS will be demonstrated on Canon's stand at IFSEC 2013. Visitors will also be able to visit the Cathexis stand for more in-depth information on this powerful new product.

Joe White, Channel Development Manager at Canon Europe, said: “We're delighted that our new camera range has been integrated with the CatVision VMS from Cathexis. We've had a long and beneficial relationship with our specialist distributor Acam Technology, who has been instrumental in helping to make this driver integration happen. CatVision is a powerful yet easily configured video management solution, and one which has received very positive feedback from our customers - which is why it will be on display at our stand this year.”

Chris West, Technical Director of Cathexis Europe, said: “We are really excited about this collaboration and are proud to be one of the first video management platforms to have completed the integration with Canon.”

The Cathexis CatVision suite of software provides solutions for most applications, from individual retailers to multi-store enterprises, right up to huge mining and industrial installations. The systems are easily upgradeable and support single or multi-server environments.

The software includes simple setup wizards for adding cameras and encoders, and caters for multiple video channel streaming. CatVision also supports bi-directional audio and I/O control on devices that provide those features. The Canon Full HD network cameras all offer bi-directional audio and two inputs/two outputs.

"We're delighted that our new camera range has been integrated with the CatVision VMS from Cathexis"

Also supported are unicast and multicast streams together with on-camera, edge analytics, as well as analytics capability on the recording servers. A 'health monitoring' feature ensures that any technical issues are reported automatically, ensuring minimum downtime.

The suite of four software variants and several licensed add-ons provides the flexibility to tailor endless customized solutions. The open architecture Windows and Linux variants of CatVision enable IP cameras, recording and viewing servers to be integrated seamlessly, providing clients with maximum return on investment. CatVision features built-in video analytics capabilities, and offers system health monitoring.

The end result is a simple and easy-to-use engineer interface overlaying a very powerful VMS platform, meaning less training, less time on site and easier maintenance. And Cathexis backs this up with the highest levels of support in the industry.

The Canon VB-H41, VB-H610VE, VB-H610D and VB-H710 cameras all offer Full HD video with superb image quality. These cameras use newly designed lenses to offer best in class 'field of view' range, combined with low light performance. These are two important factors to look at when choosing the right camera for the job.
