Nowadays electromechanical mortise locks are considered to be an inherent part of modern office access control systems.

Office internal door lock is to provide its aesthetically pleasing exterior, be easy-to-install and have a sufficient forced entry protection class.

Suitability:

PERCo has designed a unique series of mortise electromechanical locks for doors located in premises with high requirements for design and appearance, such as offices and conference rooms.

The main peculiarity of LB-series locks is voltage supply through contacts in locking bolt and in mating lock under the strike plate. Power cable and control cable are connected through the strike plate in the door frame, not through the door leaf.

PERCo LB-series Locks Specifications:

  • Aesthetically pleasing exterior of the door. Unique construction with power supply over locking bolt allows performing the installation without adapters and reed switches, which keeps pleasing exterior of the door.
  • Door frame damage protection: The lock features accidental locking bolt throw protection mechanism, which allows keeping door-post from damage.  When the door is open the locking bolt moves inside the housing and the blocker roll pulls out automatically. When the door is closed the blocker roll slides on the strike plate and moves inside the lock housing, which causes locking bolt throw and automatic locking up.
  • Stainless steel components: Lock and strike plate components are made of stainless steel, which increases its corrosion- and wear-resistance and keeps the pleasing exterior of the door during whole lifetime. In addition to this, stainless steel locking bolt provides increased unauthorized opening protection class.  As per climatic aspects resistance, the lock is compliant with NF 4.1 category– correct operation indoors with average temperature range from +1°C to +40°C.
  • Easy installation: At the installation door leaf alteration is minimized – power cables and control cables are connected through the strike plate in the door frame, not through the door leaf. Consuming products economy is considered to be another advantage of the product: there’s no need in laying an additional cable duct inside the door, which reduces cable expenditure.
  • Forced entry protection: Bolt throw is 15 mm long, which eliminates pressing-out risk. Lock pins are spring-loaded, which guarantees stable electric contact even with a small split between the door frame and the door. Normal operation is possible if the split is less than 2 mm. This allows avoiding lock opening at door loosening or even on impact.
  • Universality. Due to the rectangular shape of the bolt, locks are universal and can be installed both to the right-hand and to the left-hand doors without changing bolt position.
  • Flexibility in application: Lock design does not require any preventive measures and oiling during the whole operating lifetime.
  • Low power consumption: The lock consumes max 2W.

PERCo LB-series with power supply over locking bolt includes lock models for internal doors, which differ in control mode (normally open/closed) and in the center-to-center spacing. The 72 m and 85 mm distances between axes of handles and locking cylinders meet the most widespread standards, which allows replacing mechanical locks with electromechanical ones without any reconstruction of the door. For narrow metal section doors with glass there’s a special PERCo LBP-series.

Locks are compatible with any door-handles and standard EuroDIN security mechanisms.
