Sony and Videor enter into distribution partnership
Michal Haas, Managing Director of Videor E. Hartig GmbH
From 1st December 2008 Sony is extending its distribution and will now also market its video surveillance products through Videor E. Hartig GmbH

Videor is the new Sony distributor for the video security sector from December 2008. The IP surveillance solutions from Sony Professional Solutions Europe flow seamlessly into the Videor product range which includes single components in addition to integrated solutions from the Security & Networking, Imaging and Broadcast segments. The agreement extends to markets within the European Union with the focus on the Germany / Austria / Switzerland region. Videor therefore covers important target markets and will market its entire portfolio of analog and network CCTV products.

Videor E. Hartig GmbH, founded in 1975, possesses many years of knowledge of the market in the video security sector; it also supports the specialized trade with competent training courses and advice: the ComCenter inaugurated in 2004 and the TechCenter opened this year stand for expansion of the added value distributor through up-to-date products, training courses and services. Innovations in camera technology as well as digital recording and transmission technologies are presented in regularly staged courses, just as are network operation and application strategies. Furthermore, technical services have been successfully extended in the TechCenter, which is equipped with the latest measuring and testing instruments as well as analysis tools.

"I am delighted that we will be working together with Sony. We regard Sony as being a strong partner with whom we can position ourselves even better in the highly developed IP video surveillance segment. Together with our competent advice and further value added services we can offer the specialized trade even more interesting and multi-purpose solutions to cater for the security requirements of their customers," commented Michal Haas, Managing Director of Videor E. Hartig GmbH upon the cooperation.

Rainer Klöckner, Video Surveillance Account Manager at Sony, is also looking forward to the future joint marketing operations: "Enormous experience in the video technology sector, professional services and its strategic orientation as a multibrand distributor were the decisive factors for our cooperation with Videor. The ideal partner and a sustainable basis for winning additional market shares."
