The courses - primarily for sales and technical professionals - are set at three levels: a basic introduction, an intermediate level allowing delegates to sell and design systems, and a master class covering advanced configuration, integration and detection.  Participating companies will have the option to join the Ipsotek Partner programme and will benefit from preferential pricing.

Wimbledon-based Ipsotek has a 12-year track record in analytics research.  With its broad experience across major government, transport and commercial customers, the company is well placed to impart knowledge and share its expertise.

The Partner Programme will address the following key questions:

  • What can analytics do?
  • What is it particularly good at?
  • What are its limitations?
  • What skills and background do you need to use it effectively?

Andrew Marchant, Director of Operations at Ipsotek, said, "We have set up the programme to tackle the lack of awareness about the potential of analytics, where problems can occur and how the equipment should be specified and sold responsibly.  We will be showing delegates the potential of the analytics approach and providing them with the tools they need to get the best out of this exciting technology."

Through its unique scenario-based detection toolkit, Ipsotek is able to offer a spectrum of analytics solutions, from simple intruder alerts right up to complex, tailored alerts combining a range of triggers which can be used to warn of more subtle behaviour such as car park surfing.  Providing partners with a good understanding of the power of these tools so they can create customised, site-specific solutions is the main aim of the programme.

Graduates of the academy will be equipped to first understand the requirements of their clients and then apply Ipsotek's technology to meet real needs across a range of applications including security, safety, traffic management and commercial business data.

Delegates need no previous formal training although an understanding of the fundamentals of conventional CCTV will help.
