Agent Vi’s savVi version 5.2 has been released with various feature additions and enhancements. In light of the growing use of panoramic cameras in surveillance systems, the new version of savVi introduces initial support for panoramic cameras. Providing a 360? field of view, panoramic cameras offer wide area coverage in a single view, and savVi can now be employed with panoramic cameras for a variety of security or business intelligence applications: to detect people in restricted zones, count people entering/exiting an area, view heat maps to illustrate customer dwell time, and more.
savVi 5.2 offers expanded integration options with both VMS and Camera / Encoder products.
savVi 5.2 supports upgrading from savVi 5.0 / 5.1, as well as migration from Vi-System 4.2. Agent Vi’s Free Online Certification program has been updated to reflect the product enhancements, including the introduction of a new lesson in the “Installer” and “Operator” tracks focusing on panoramic cameras.
