Octavian Group founder Sukhi Ghuman’s role will be to develop new business links and open new opportunities for the Leicester-based company
Sukhi Ghuman will be working with his business networks in the UK and USA to increase Scancom’s market share

Sukhi Ghuman, the multi-award-winning entrepreneur and founder of leading security provider Octavian Security, has been appointed as a Director of mobile telecommunications provider Scancom.

After working closely with Octavian over the past five years, the Scancom board approached Sukhi for the position. His role will be to develop new business links and to open new opportunities and markets for the Leicester-based company.

Having built up the Octavian Group since 2002, the Nottingham-born entrepreneur will be working with his business networks in the UK and USA to increase Scancom’s market share, as one of the most respected telecommunications resellers in the country.

Commenting on his new role, Sukhi explained that he was attracted to the business because of its similarities to Octavian, in its impeccable service record for delivering tailored solutions.

He said: “Scancom is already a very strong company. Its offering is honest and brings real, tangible benefits to its customers. Its account management is exceptional and its level of customer service is of a very high standard.”

“These are the foundations of a good business, and I relish the opportunity to help Scancom build on them to become a market leader.”

Scancom’s managing director Chen Kotecha added: “The appointment of Sukhi Ghuman as a director, after many years of working together, was a logical step in the development of the business. He is a well-respected businessman and we look forward to working with him.”

Sukhi has won numerous awards, such as the Excellence in Customer Services category at the Asian Achievers Awards 2013 in March, and several further business awards this year for Octavian.
