Accent ESI’s 40 employees will join the Intertech team and continue to work from their current offices in Bridgeville, PA and Akron, OH
The acquisition combines two complementary companies and creates a more sophisticated systems integrator

Intertech Security, an independent security systems integrator based in Pittsburgh, PA, recently announced that it has acquired Accent Electronic Systems Integrators, Inc. (Accent ESI), a privately-held, certified system integration firm, headquartered in Bridgeville, PA.

“The acquisition combines two complementary companies and creates a bigger, more sophisticated systems integrator,” says Ron Petnuch, president of Intertech Security. “The two companies combined revenues for 2013 were $41 million — which places Intertech in the top 20 companies based on the SDM Top Systems Integrators Report.”

Customers will benefit from a more formidable line-up of products, people, experience and capabilities. Intertech’s expertise in integrated security systems combined with Accent ESI’s expertise in fire systems, sound systems, networks, audio visual and intercom systems provides additional opportunities and products for Intertech’s growing customer base in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Florida and Texas.

In addition, Accent ESI’s strong presence in the K-12 education market and new construction market coupled with Intertech’s experience in the end-user, client service market will enhance Intertech’s continuing growth.

Accent ESI’s 40 employees will join the Intertech team and continue to work from their current offices in Bridgeville, PA and Akron, OH for the immediate future. Paul Caruso, an owner and principal manager of Accent ESI, will join the ownership and executive management team of Intertech as vice president and general manager of the Accent Division.

“We are excited to be part of Intertech Security offering a broader range of innovative technology and services,” says Caruso. “We look forward to growing together with our product manufacturers and customers.”
