Using facial recognition, the DoorBird identifies familiar faces, and uses push-notifications to alert the user
DoorBird’s video door station lets users view who is ringing the doorbell from anywhere in the world

Bird Home Automation GmbH, specialist for intelligent home automation components made in Berlin, will introduce more innovative new products and features at the upcoming Consumer Electronic Show (CES ) in Las Vegas in January 2016, the company will be demonstrating the latest advances in smart entry systems at Booth 81927, Sands Expo Center, Hall G / Level 1.

New: Facial Recognition For The DoorBird

DoorBird’s video door station already lets users view who is ringing the doorbell from anywhere in the world. But there’s still need to view the video on a smartphone or tablet to know who is at the calling. But this is about to change, as DoorBird will soon offer facial recognition.

The system will be able to remember friendly faces, and know if a stranger is at your door. People are already used to knowing who is calling on the phone before they answer it. The same thing will be possible with the DoorBird video door station.  Using facial recognition, the DoorBird identifies familiar faces, and uses push-notifications to alert the user not just of the fact there is a visitor, but who the visitor is.

It’s a great way to know whether to go to the door or not. If it’s a sales call to be avoided, or a welcome visit from a friend, DoorBird lets the user be home when they want to be, and out when they don’t, regardless of your actual location.

If it’s a welcome guest, then speaking with the caller is easy. The DoorBird delivers live HD video and audio to a smartphone or tablet. The DoorBird can be used to talk to them, to see them, and if an electronic lock is installed, it could even let them into the house remotely. All of this is done in compliance with the strictest security and data regulations.

DoorBird will show more exciting add-ons and features at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2016.

New: Smartphone Window And Door Sensor

If you have ever left the house and wondered if you locked up properly, the new DoorBird window and door sensor could calm that anxiety. Using the DoorBird App when on the road makes it easy to check if the door or window is open. It also works as a security device, by sending an alert if a door or window is opened. Or it could be used to send a notification when your child gets home safely?

New: Cloud-Recording

People that travel a lot may be curious to know who does come to their door when they are away. DoorBird will soon be able to record video of visitors, whether they actually ring the bell or not, so activity can be viewed later. DoorBird will store HD video of any activity in the cloud for seven days.  Meaning that video evidence of any suspicious activity is securely stored, even if the DoorBird were to be damaged.

New: DoorBird Connect

DoorBird Connect is a free feature that every DoorBird video door station includes. DoorBird Connect gives full control of smart home devices and IoT (Internet of Things) – even if Bird Home Automation isn’t the manufacturer. Connect the DoorBird video door station with devices in your home, such as August or Kevo smart locks, Liftmaster and many more.

DoorBird has been available for just over a year, and it is already established as Europe’s best selling video door station. It was developed and manufactured exclusively in Germany. High quality materials and different editions like the surface and flush edition, as well as stainless steel models, complete the technical innovations. DoorBird is available starting from $349 via www.doorbird.com and selected resellers.
