HID PCVSL software for centralized management The software regularly communicates with external trust authorities, imports updated credential information and sends that information to the pivCLASS Authentication Modules (PAMs) for enforcement. Enabling the upgrade of existing physical access control system (PACS) to achieve FIPS 201 compliance, the validation software is designed to be used with PAMs, which work with HID pivCLASS readers to provide real time authentication at the door at the time of access. The pivCLASS Validation Server also configures PAMs and manages their firmware updates and includes an API that enables third party integration to physical access control system software.

HID Satellite secure visitor management software is used to control and monitor entry and exit at one or more internal locations or “check points” for visitors who have already been badged at a SVM workstation at the main lobby, visitor center or guard gate. Upon arrival at a Satellite station, the visitor’s badge is scanned and the Satellite station will display the visitor’s photo, name and clearance level while informing the operator whether to allow or deny the visitor entry into that area. HID pivCLASS Certificate Manager software is a PC-based application that re-validates imported cardholder certificates on a user-defined periodic basis. Certificate Manager can be configured to suspend a PACS badge associated with an invalid or revoked certificate, to generate alarms in the PACS and can send an e-mail to a distribution list for notification when it discovers an invalid certificate. It is integrated with fixed biometric readers that can send certificate revocation status, TWIC Privacy Key (TPK), etc. to the fixed reader upon request.

HID pivCLASS Registration Engine software is a PC-based solution that provides three factor authentication, extracting and verifying cardholder data on a FIPS 201 smart card and performing a biometric match against the templates stored on the card. Digital certificates are verified against the issuer's validation authority, SCVP or OCSP responder. All cards are validated using FIPS 201 challenge-response (CAK or PAK) in order to identify forged or cloned cards. Works with all PIV, PIV-I, TWIC, CAC, and FRAC cards. After validation, pivCLASS Registration Engine performs automated registration of FASC-N, photo and printed information into compatible PACS. It also updates cardholder record if it already exists in the PACS, or inserts a new record if one does not exist

The HID ActivID Desktop Validation Client for Windows desktop enables real-time validation of PKI certificates. HID Global’s pivCLASS Mobile Validator is a handheld software application that verifies PIV, PIV-I, CIV, TWIC, FRAC, CAC and other types of credentials using the mobile handheld’s contact or contactless reader interface. The software is designed for use on Datastrip ruggedised mobile biometric readers. When deployed with pivCLASS Data Import, the software can also be used to read and display card serial numbers from MiFARE DESFire, iCLASS and proximity cards, as well as photos and access rights of cardholders.

SmartTOOLS is a software suite for ISO 14443 readers with part numbers 800-XXXX series.  The software suite consists of two parts: ProxBurn (card programming suite for MIFARE Classic cards) and ReaderTOOLS (reader configuration tool for ISO 14443 readers). 

HID Batch Management System (BMS) enables organizations to securely and efficiently transfer large quantities of sensitive employee data to card service bureaus for the production of employee ID cards. The Batch Management System extends the functionality of the Card Management System (CMS) by creating and managing batches of smart card data and securely transmitting them to a service bureau for card production. Once smart cards are issued, BMS communicates data back to the CMS to enable secure activation and lifecycle management of the smart cards. The Batch Management System enables organizations to reduce the cost of smart card production by automating the flow of data to and from the card service bureau. The HID M2000 Reader Services software application is required to manage the pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM). The reader services administrator can select the reader types to be controlled by a PAM for specific doors or other access points. It is also used to set the authentication modes on a per door basis in each PAM. The reader services is used to download PAM firmware updates and to configure periodic downloading of updated credential status files (which are then cached locally on each PAM).
