Smart Cameras For Challenging Lighting Conditions: Bosch Presents Its 1080p HDR Cameras
Smart Cameras For Challenging Lighting Conditions: Bosch Presents Its 1080p HDR Cameras

With the launch of its latest 1080p HDR cameras, Bosch Security Systems is setting the standard for High Definition imaging. Featuring intelligent backlight compensation, adaptive noise reduction and outstanding color reproduction, the Dinion and FlexiDome cameras deliver exceptional image quality and a very wide tonal range – even under the most demanding lighting conditions. Integrated, state-of-the-art Intelligent Video Analysis functionality enables more effective surveillance, while compression capabilities ensure minimum bandwidth requirements. A cast-aluminum enclosure withstands the equivalent of 55 kilograms (120 lbs) of force, making it ideal for vandal prone areas and outdoor use. High quality images at all times and under all conditions 1080p HDR cameras use digital imaging technology to deliver remarkable image quality at all times, in both bright and dark environments. Even in high-contrast scenes, or when looking from dark locations into well-lit areas the devices deliver an exceptionally wide dynamic range, to capture more detail in both highlights and shadows. The true day/night cameras deliver images in color or monochrome and switch automatically between the two modes depending on the illumination level. Either mode can also be selected manually via the alarm input, or remotely via a web browser. Outstanding image quality is complemented by the integrated HD-optimized Intelligent Video Analysis and image processing. Important details such as specific objects, license plates or faces are detected automatically and the scene exposure level is adjusted accordingly to increase the usability of the results. To further enhance effectiveness ‘regions of interest’ can be defined. This allows zooming into certain details of the full image. The close-up images are transmitted in a separate stream so that both overview and detail can be viewed at the same time – and all in high resolution. Furthermore, the cameras come with a choice of telephoto, mid-range, and ultra wide-angle lenses, helping to create tailored solutions for unique requirements. Professionalism embraces user-friendliness While delivering highly professional results, Bosch’s 1080p HDR cameras are easy to install, operate and maintain. Three power options, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), 24 VAC and 12 VDC are available. To increase system reliability, the cameras can be simultaneously connected to both PoE and 12 VDC/24 VAC supplies. To ensure that the technology of the 1080p HDR cameras remains state-of-the-art, remote upgrades are possible whenever new firmware becomes available. An intuitive user interface allows fast and easy configuration over IP to ensure smooth operations. The installation and configuration is supported by the Bosch Video Client Software which is delivered free-of-charge with any HD camera. It also provides easy live viewing of multiple cameras, playback, forensic search and export.  Certified interoperability For multiple camera surveillance set-ups, the interoperability of various devices is a crucial factor to ensure cost-efficiency and functioning of the devices. All 1080p HDR cameras conform to the ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) which guarantees interoperability between network video products regardless of the manufacturer. ONVIF conformant devices are able to exchange live video, audio, metadata and control information. They are automatically discovered and connected to network applications such as video management systems.

Bosch Security Systems Extends Dinion Camera Range With Dinion IP
Bosch Security Systems Extends Dinion Camera Range With Dinion IP

Bosch Security Systems has launched Dinion IP – its proven Dinion camera with integrated IP network connection - in response to the growing market demand for greater flexibility, improved camera functionality, reduced cost of ownership and improved accessibility.Jeremy Hockham, UK Managing Director of Bosch Security Systems explains: “Internet Protocol (IP) has revolutionised the way the world communicates and it is now set to transform CCTV surveillance systems.   Installers are receiving more and more requests for IP-enabled cameras as their customers recognize the benefits of IP-based surveillance installations in comparison to traditional solutions.” Bosch’s Dinion range of fixed cameras was first launched in 2002 meeting the need for affordable, high-performance CCTV imaging, and it then later introduced the DinionXF series to offer high performance Colour and Day/Night models addressing the critical issues of sensitivity and dynamic range. The new Dinion IP cameras combine all the benefits and reliability of the Dinion range with a network video server that transmits video and control data over IP network which means that images can be transmitted to several receivers simultaneously.  Dinion IP cameras have tri-streaming technology: dual MPEG-4 and JPEG compression modes simultaneously allow a dedicated stream at one frame rate for recording and a different stream for live viewing, while JPEGS can be streamed to other devices such as a PDA. With an Ethernet connection and analog BNC output, Dinion IP cameras offer customers a hybrid solution as they can be connected to existing analog CCTV equipment, whilst still offering the additional flexibility and scalability of IP-based CCTV systems.  Installation is straightforward and they are easy to configure via the IP network: configuration settings can be stored as computer files and copied from one camera to another and settings can be uploaded to many cameras in the network simultaneously. The Dinion IP and DinionXF IP cameras have in-built intelligent functionality, like alarm management with relay output, event handling, alarm input and motion detection.  Dinion IP is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) standard. PoE means that installation is easy and additional cabling is eliminated as cameras do not require a local AC power source.  An additional benefit with PoE installations is if the network is supported by an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), Dinion IP cameras can continue to operate even when there is a power failure.  Bosch’s DinionXF IP and Dinion IP cameras can be fully integrated into Bosch’s VIDOS Video Management System and DiBos Digital Video and IP Recorder and Transmission System.  These cameras complement the other innovative IP products such as the VIP and VideoJet families of encoders and decoders and the VIDOS and NVR (Network Video Recorder).
