Manufacturer ROCKWOOL International A.S. has chosen Nedap’s Global Client Programme to secure its offices and factories worldwide. AEOS, the physical security platform by Nedap, installed during the program, enables ROCKWOOL to establish a truly global security policy and unified work processes. An advanced project rollout, the Global Client Programme is developed for large multinationals and offers several benefits, including standardization across sites, shorter implementation times and cost efficiencies. Standardizing Company’s Security Measures The Global Client Programme connects all of ROCKWOOL’s factories and office premises, and standardises the company’s security measuresROCKWOOL has 28 factories across the world. The Global Client Programme connects all of these factories and ROCKWOOL’s office premises, and standardizes the company’s security measures throughout the world. Fokko van der Zee, managing director at Nedap Security Management, says: “The implementation of a standardized security solution across the world is a complex process. It involves a large project spanning many years and involving many stakeholders, and demands a high level of project management. In the absence of a structured program with defined guidelines, a global security rollout is likely to be a stressful execution. That’s why we set up our carefully designed Global Client Programme.” ROCKWOOL Digital Service Lead, Matthew Thorne, agrees: “We’ve worked with Nedap over the past few years and recently became a member of their Global Client Programme. Now we’re equipped with the people and tools we needed to standardize our physical security solution. The Global Client Programme also minimizes risk and guarantees compliance. It really meets our needs in every possible way.” Central Security Platform Saves Money The program helps achieve cost savings by avoiding initial setup costs per site and having one central security platform instead of severalThe Global Client Programme is designed to ensure monitoring and control during every step of the rollout process. Timon Padberg, responsible for business development at Nedap Security Management, explains: “The repetitive nature of local site deployments allows us to work with models and templates, such as standard proposal and calculation documents. We can therefore produce a scalable process that ensures uniformity and a consistently high quality of implementation across each site.” By using the Global Client Programme, ROCKWOOL is aiming for uniformity and alignment across all sites. The program also helps achieve cost savings by avoiding initial setup costs per site and having one central security platform instead of several. Moreover, there are significant savings on operational and maintenance costs due to shared services and economies of scale.
Nedap Security Management’s standards of excellence achieved another stamp of approval last month with ISO 27001 certification. This assures that all its products and services, including the AEOS access control system, are fully compliant with the highest international standards for information security. Fokko van der Zee, Managing Director of Nedap Security Management says: “This is the formal confirmation of our ambition to excel at everything we do. A crucial aspect of that, particularly in today’s market, is being fully compliant with the laws and regulations relating to the security of information. We’ve worked hard to achieve this certification over the last year and will continue to push forward to achieve ever higher standards.”
This week sees Nedap Security Management launch its new brand tagline, ‘Security for Life’. The words are new but the future-facing, people-first approach that it communicates is what drove the development of AEOS, the access control system by Nedap. And it’s what continues to drive the brand’s initiatives such as recent AEOS performance optimization and its Global Client Program. AEOS Access Control System Nedap invests in continuous research and development to ensure AEOS customers have an access control system that’s fit for purpose, up-to-date and has no end of life. Recently, this led to Nedap modifying and adapting 30% of the AEOS codebase and re-writing more than 3 million lines of software code. The result is huge performance improvements that are, for example, preventing delays during peak periods and enabling customers to expand their systems without hindering performance. Future-Proofing Security The human dimension in security management is crucial and that’s one of the main messages behind security for life" Fokko van der Zee at Nedap Security Management says: “Our world is changing more quickly every day. To give our clients security for life, we not only respond proactively to changing circumstances we stay one step ahead. We’re continually developing AEOS innovations and optimizing its performance.” This focus on improving the user experience is also a great example of how, for Nedap, security doesn’t start with technology; it focuses first on people and how they live their daily lives. Fokko van der Zee explains: “For us, the human dimension in security management is crucial and that’s one of the main messages behind security for life. In our industry, brand communications often center on technology. But we believe people aren’t looking for technology in itself – it’s the benefits of technology that help them feel safe and secure. As human beings, we have a fundamental need for this sense of security to really make the most of our life and work.” Enhancing People Physical Security Nedap addresses the human dimension of security management by providing a strong foundation for the physical security of peopleOn a functional level, Nedap addresses the human dimension of security management by providing a strong foundation for the physical security of people, locations and buildings. On an emotional level, it frees people from having to even think about security or the technology that enables it. This allows them to fully enjoy their day and focus on the tasks at hand knowing that their security is being taken care of by experts. Many of the ideas behind security for life are already implemented in AEOS, which is designed to meet the needs of every client and adapt to changing circumstances. It’s the ultimate, sustainable foundation for any application of access control, anywhere – from businesses to government offices, hospitals, airports, schools, industrials sites and public venues. Streamlining Physical Access Control Now, and in the future, Nedap will apply its philosophy to enrich AEOS further with industry-specific features that will give even greater usability. And with the Global Client Program, for example, it’s helping multinational organizations to streamline their physical access control with increased ease and speed. A project rollout system managed by Nedap, the Global Client Program gives multinationals a cost-effective, efficient framework for standardizing security across all their buildings around the world. All of which means that Nedap is continuing to enable organizations and their people to focus on their core business – and so boost both their productivity and creativity.
Nedap Security Management has developed a new way for multinationals to streamline physical access control – without the headaches of handling it themselves. It’s called the Global Client Program and is a progressive project rollout system managed by Nedap. A cost-effective, efficient framework for standardizing security across all your buildings, it also gives the flexibility to future-proof your access control. AEOS Standarization Large, renowned companies are using The Global Client Program to easily implement, maintain and update AEOS (Nedap’s access control system) across multiple international sites. Nedap takes care of project management and local coordination centrally, with the support of local installation and service partners. And makes sure you’re protected by the best physical access control at all of your locations worldwide. Enhanced Cyber Security The Global Client Program also ensures your access control is cyber secure, future-proof and secure by design The Global Client Program also ensures your access control is cyber secure, future-proof and secure by design, so it’s easy to adapt your system to future trends and risks. And it keeps your budgets in check while giving you a physical access control system that’s: Unified internationally Locally compliant Always up-to-date Security Standardization And Unification Fokko van der Zee at Nedap explains: “In today’s increasingly globalized, mobile business world it’s essential to unify your security internationally. But it can be extremely complex. You’re trying to standardize security across many buildings in many countries while dealing with different cultures, languages, laws, support centers and stakeholders. And you’re faced with projects that stretch for months. That’s why we developed the Global Client Program – it gives you full control and takes away the stress of streamlining global security.” The key benefits of using the program rather than handling a global security rollout internally are the ease of achieving both international standardization, flexibility, scalability, cost efficiencies and faster implementation.
Swiss Re, a global reinsurer, will equip 48 of its buildings with the latest version of AEOS, Nedap’s physical access control system.
