UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp., has extended its range of media converters and accessories allowing more rapid deployment of cameras and giving security installers a comprehensive equipment choice for all IP video and security projects.
The range of new media converters includes the MC350-4T-2S & MC352-4P-2S models which are ideal for drop and insert ‘daisy chain’ type solutions.
These 4-port Gigabit Ethernet to Dual SFP unmanaged industrial media converters with PoE+ (MC352-4P-2S) or without PoE (MC350-4T-2S) are capable of handling one incoming 10/100/1000Base-Tx Ethernet port and converting the signal over fiber using one or two SFP’s.
The MC350-1T-2S is an industrial convertor that can convert a single 10/100/1000Base-Tx Ethernet port to fiber with the flexibility of an SFP port.
The MCR300-1T-2S is a commercial grade media convertor that can convert a single 10/100/1000Base-Tx Ethernet port to fiber with the flexibility of an SFP port. And the MCR200-1T-1TW is a new Ethernet over Twisted Pair media converter that uses the latest VDSL2 technology to transfer data via Twisted Pair up to 1600m. Both these products are also compatible with the existing MCR Rack.
The MC252-1T-1CXP & MC252-1P-1CX media converters allow you to transmit both IP and Power over the coax. Supporting the high power PoE+ (at) standard, these products can also be powered centrally via a PoE switch allowing for very easy and rapid deployment of cameras.
These products can be used for both new and to upgrade existing coax based systems to IP cameras.
The POE302-EX IFS Power over Ethernet Extender is an easy solution for powering devices via PoE at distances greater than 100m. While normally installers are limited to 100m of PoE distance, the POE302-EX now allows devices to be powered over Ethernet up to 300m. This product supports both Gigabit and PoE+ (at) standards.
And finally, to safeguard valuable systems from damage, the ESP-300 surge suppressor will protect network products (such as network switches) from external surges.
This in-line product can be used on 10/100/1000BaseTx based systems and supports pass through of PoE (af) and PoE+ (at) power.
