HID Global’s EDGE EVO product line includes single-door power over Ethernet (PoE) enabled controllers for organizations with an existing IT infrastructure
HID has integrated its networked access solutions into RedCloud's portfolio

HID Global®, a worldwide leader in secure identity solutions, recently announced that it has expanded its partnership with RedCloud to integrate HID Global’s EDGE EVO® and VertX EVO™ networked access control solutions into RedCloud’s complete line of web-based networked access control appliances, including RedCloud Express, RedCloud Enterprise, and RedCloud Virtual. RedCloud will demonstrate the new, integrated solution in their booth #2095, and in HID Global’s Partner Pavilion in booth #10051 at ISC West 2013 in Las Vegas from April 10 – 12.

HID Global’s EDGE EVO product line includes single-door power over Ethernet (PoE) enabled controllers for organizations with an existing IT infrastructure, and the VertX EVO portfolio comprises multi-door controllers with downstream interface modules for environments with an existing traditional access system in place and a limited IT infrastructure. Combined with RedCloud’s web-based, networked access control appliances, these solutions easily support facility expansion or any future changes to security configurations – whether it’s providing access control for a few doors or hundreds of doors at multiple facilities.

“Combining HID Global’s latest IP-enabled solutions with RedCloud’s portfolio provides customers a broad set of options for open architecture, web-based access control solutions,” said Eric Widlitz, Managing Director, Identity and Access Management, Americas with HID Global. “HID Global recognizes that RedCloud is a pioneer in the industry and one of the fastest-growing providers of physical access control systems. As a member of our Networked Access Partner Program, RedCloud’s integration of EDGE EVO and VertX EVO into their offering reinforces our shared commitment to providing customers the robust, scalable and cost effective solution.

“RedCloud is pleased to add a new layer to our partnership with the integration of HID Global’s networked access solutions into our portfolio,” said Kevin Wine, RedCloud’s Vice President of Marketing. “As a member of our Open Field Hardware program, HID Global is an industry- leading brand and many integrators and customers will benefit from the freedom of choice and capabilities associated with a joint RedCloud and HID Global solution.”

All RedCloud Express, RedCloud Enterprise, and RedCloud Virtual appliances support open and reusable field hardware from HID Global. RedCloud’s approach allows customers to protect new investments or leverage prior investments in non-proprietary field hardware. RedCloud can retrofit to any HID Global VertX EVO or EDGE EVO installation, enabling HID Global customers to seamlessly move to an efficient, scalable, and open web-based solution.
