Due to increasing requests, Idesco's Access 8 CD reader family has been upgraded with RS-485 interface configurability, enabling bi-directional data transfer, as well as compliance with the Open Supervised Device (or OSDP) communication protocol. Idesco's newest EPC tag addition is the EPC Sail Tag, a supremely convenient and durable keyring tag, ideal for access control applications.  EPC Sail tags currently come in black, with blue available on request.  Customised (Bespoke) logo etching is also available on request.

Together with Idesco's innovative EPC reader products these tags provide a perfect solution for smart access control applications requiring longer reading distances (up to 3 metres).  Idesco EPC products possess a rich variety of capabilities, including anti-collision and direction tracking of mobile tags even inside moving vehicles. Because of the anti-collision capability the reader can track numerous tags in the reading area simultaneously. Two distinct antennas can track and control tag flow in opposite directions or they can even be readily configured to determine the direction of moving tags, making the EPC solution very useful in zone monitoring solutions, for example.  Finally, Idesco offers alternative EPC tags with a variety of features including the ability to be read at distances from 10 to 15 metres.
